It's confirmed! Actresses Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart will be walking the red carpet in Toronto for the Canadian premiere of The Runaways. Director Floria Sigismondi will be joining them at the screening as well.
The film tells the story of the early days of the all-girl rock band The Runaways between 1975 and 1977 when members Joan Jett, Cheri Currie, Lita Ford, Jackie Fox, and Sandy West were at the top of their game touring North America. Fanning stars as Currie and Stewart plays Jett in the biopic that has been getting rave reviews since screening at Sundance earlier this year. Scout Taylor-Compton and Stella Maeve star as Ford and West respectively. Fox did not want to be part of the production and is not portrayed.
If you're hoping to grab a glimpse of Fanning and Stewart during their visit be at the Isabel Bader Theatre between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 14. The Runaways opens in Toronto on March 19.
