I was very hesitant about the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake until I saw the most recent trailer (below). Don’t get me wrong — I’m still not happy they are doing it, but my fears of whether Jackie Earle Haley could hold his own against Robert Englund in the Freddy role are all but gone. When he says the line, “Why are you screaming? I haven’t even cut you yet,” it gave me a serious chill.
We’ll know for sure whether the remake is worthwhile or not come April 16.
