Box office smash Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen cleaned up Saturday night (March 6, the eve of the Oscars) at the 30th Annual Razzie Awards taking home Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Director (Michael Bay). Land of the Lost picked up the combined award for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.
In the acting categories, Sandra Bullock got Worst Actress and shared Worst Screen Couple honours with Bradley Cooper for All About Steve, and the Jonas Brothers collectively earned the Worst Actor award for their concert film Jonas Brothers: 3-D Concert Experience. Other “winners” included Sienna Miller for Worst Supporting Actress in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Billy Ray Cyrus for Worst Supporting Actor in Hannah Montana: The Movie.
To celebrate the last decade special awards were given out to Battlefield Earth (Worst Film of the Decade), Eddie Murphy (Worst Actor of the Decade), and Paris Hilton (Worst Actress of the Decade).
The Razzies were founded in 1980 by John Wilson as an antidote to the Oscars. This year’s awards were given out at a ceremony at the Hollywood’s Barnsdall Gallery Theatre. For more information on the awards visit razzies.com.
