New On DVD: June 1, 2010

The Wolfman was slaughtered by critics when it opened earlier this year. Personally, I found it to be a fun remake of the 1941 version and thought Benicio Del Toro did a great job in the lead role. Here’s hoping this type of treatment is applied to Dracula and Frankenstein next. The Blu-ray release (recommended) includes a digital copy, unrated version of the film, alternate ending, and deleted scenes. A digital copy of the original 1941 The Wolf Man starring Lon Chaney Jr. is included as well.

Also available on DVD and Blu-ray this week:

Alice in Wonderland (Blu-ray/DVD)
BBC’s Life (Blu-ray/DVD)
Clint Eastwood: 35 Films, 35 Years
Class of Nuke ‘Em High (Blu-ray)
Pep Squad
Blood Ties: The Complete Series (Blu-ray/DVD)
