In an attempt to get Toronto movie lovers closer to the Bell Lightbox (the new home of the Toronto International Film Festival) and out spending money at bars, shops, and restaurants in the King & John neighbourhood, the Entertainment District BIA have partnered with TIFF for Summer Movie Nights in Metro Square.
Every Wednesday at 9 p.m. from June 30 to September 1 the public can watch, for free, films such as Breakfast With Scot, To Kill A Mockingbird, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Cairo Time, and Casablanca (full schedule below) outside under the stars.
Along with the movies the CN Tower will be joining the fun with a Hollywood style golden light show before each screening to “beacon Torontonians” to the square.
