Actors Alan Cumming, Jason Priestley, Carlo Rota, and Sheila McCarthy, and directors Denis Villeneuve, Jeremy Podeswa, and Kari Skogland have been selected as the jury of the 2010 edition of Air Canada’s enRoute Film Festival.
Twelve Canadian short films are in the running for the title of Best Short Film at the festival, as well as awards for Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Animation. Winners will receive an all-inclusive trip for two to the Whistler Film Festival courtesy of Air Canada and a grand prize of $5,000 CDN will be awarded courtesy Cineplex.
Air Canada passengers will be able to watch all 12 films using the in-seat monitors on all Air Canada flights until November. A free public screening of the films will take place at the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto on Wednesday, October 13, followed by an awards bash at The Drake Hotel.
