Due to the overwhelming amount of film festivals Toronto hosts each year (there seems to be one every week) it’s a no-brainer the city would pool its resources together to launch an official online portal dedicated to showcasing them all for the public. And that’s what they’re doing with the help of George Brown College School of Design and over 70 of the city’s film festivals.
The site, torontofilmfestivals.com, includes an alphabetical list of film festivals happening in Toronto, a calendar view of when festivals are running, and a search feature that allows you to find festivals or events by theme, month or name. It’s simple and easy to use, and is a great resource for movie buffs in Canada’s largest city.
Although the site is currently live it doesn’t officially launch until October 5. Check it out and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
