The Toronto Comic Con returns this March, and Darth Vadar (David Prowse), Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan), Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd), and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) will all be there to excite the legion of Star Wars fans that flock to the three-day celebration of movies, comics, video games, toys, and collectibles.
Dexter’s Julie Benz, The Kids in the Hall’s Scott Thompson, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Nicholas Brendon will also be making appearances, along with wrestler’s Ted “The Million Dollar Man” DiBiase, Eugene, Virgil, Rhyno, and Tatanka. And because it wouldn’t be a Comic Con without exploiting sexy women, Canada’s “Ultimate Fan Girl” Liana K. and Internet personality Carol Zara are scheduled to attend.
Presented by Wizard World, Toronto Comic Con visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite movie, comic, or pop-culture character for a chance to win special prizes. Besides the celebrity appearances, there will be a Magic: The Gathering card tournament, movie screenings, photo ops, and the chance to purchase memorabilia, toys, and games at over 100 vendor booths.
The 2011 Toronto Comic Con runs March 18, 19, and 20 at the Direct Energy Centre. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit wizardworld.com/toronto.html.
