TVOKids Don’t Sit Still Tour will be ramping up festivities in Amherstburg with two free shows at the Canada Day Celebrations and Ice Cream Festival at Fort Malden National Historic Site of Canada.
“The Don’t Sit Still shows are a fun way to share important healthy living messages with young children and their parents,” says Margarett Best, Ontario’s Minister of Health Promotion and Sport. “The shows take place in communities throughout the province. Encouraging children to be active every day, and to eat more fruits and vegetables leads to the development of good habits for better health and well-being.”
The live stage show features TVOKids hosts Drew and Kara and motivates kids to be active, eat right, and have fun. Families can enjoy learning new songs and dance moves and pick up a free Don’t Sit Still gift bag. Watch for the Don’t Sit Still Cruiser to get free snack samples from Sun-Rype, as well as tips on healthy eating.
“What’s really cool about the Don’t Sit Still Tour is that we get to meet TVOKids fans, see how TVO affects the community, and see all the kids and parents dancing, singing, and getting active,” says TVOKids host Kara.
The tour, presented by EatRight with sponsorship in part by Sun-Rype, will visit over 20 Ontario communities this year.
Amherstbug is located on the banks of the Detroit River, approximately 25 km south of Detroit.
