‘Near Dark’ and Lance Henriksen come to the Toronto Underground Cinema in August

Near Dark at the Toronto Underground Cinema

Cheaper than the cost of seeing a movie in 3-D you can see a great flick and a great actor to boot. Kathryn Bigelow’s celebrated vampire flick Near Dark is being screened (in 35mm!) at the Toronto Underground Cinema on August 25 with actor Lance Henriksen attending for a Q&A session with film critic Richard Crouse.

You know Lance Henriksen – even if the name doesn’t ring any bells. He’s played the android Bishop in Aliens (1986), a gunslinger in Sam Raimi’s The Quick and the Dead (1995), an FBI agent in the TV series Millennium (1996), a scenery-chewing gangster in the Jean-Claude Van Damme actioner Hard Target(1993) and a murderous vampire in Near Dark. He’s one of the most recognizable character (and voice) actors in the entertainment business, and you can hear him in his latest roles in acclaimed video games like Mass Effect 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Avoid some of the summer sludge at the multiplex and check out this event at the Toronto Underground Cinema. You won’t be disappointed.

For more information, check out the event Facebook page or grab tickets now (before they sell out) at Rue Morgue.
