TIFF 2011: New trailer for 50/50

One of my most anticipated films at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is the Seth Rogen-Joseph Gordon-Levitt comedy-drama 50/50. The film, directed by Jonathan Levine, tells the story of a 27-year-old (Levitt) who is diagnosed with cancer and relies on his best friend (Rogen) to help him deal with it. While it looks like it has many funny elements, it also looks like to could be a very emotional ride, especially with the very sincere Levitt in the lead. Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anjelica Huston also star in supporting roles and should help make this one of the best films at the fest this year. Check out the new trailer for the film below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

TIFF 2011 runs from September 8 – 18. Follow all our coverage of the festival at criticizethis.ca/TIFF2011.

50/50 opens in theatres September 30.
