Trailer and poster for TIFF 2011 short ‘Mandeep’ released

NOTE: We’ve unfortunately been asked by the Tourettes Foundation of Canada to remove the poster Darrin had sent over. The trailer is still available below.

Filmmaker Darrin Klimek passed along the trailer and controversial poster for his heartwrenching 6-minute documentary Mandeep for us to share.

Before writing in with your complaints over the content of the poster, you should know that the subject of Mandeep, 23-year-old Mandeep Sanghera, suffers from severe Tourette’s syndrome and this is a great example of something he might say during one of his tics. Personally, I feel this is a powerful ad and is the perfect way to get the film noticed among the hundreds of films at the Toronto International Film Festival, where Mandeep is playing as part of the Short Cuts Canada programme.

What do you think? Does the poster go too far or is it a great campaign? Check it out below along with the trailer and let us know in the comments.
