Wondering what’s worth watching on Canadian TV tonight? We’ve got some highlights of what’s on and possibly watchable.

Forget about everything else that is on TV tonight because the only important show is Maria Bello’s Prime Suspect. Yes, it’s a remake of the equally great UK series that starred Helen Mirren, but Bello holds her own as NYPD detective Jane Timoney and in turn has made this show one of the best cop-drama’s to ever hit the airwaves. 10 p.m. ET on Global.

The Trouble With Experts airs on the CBC at 9 p.m. ET and is a very interesting documentary that looks at so-called ‘experts’ that appear on 24-hour news channels. Turns out most of them are not that knowledgeable (there’s a great segment about a group of wine experts that can’t tell they are drinking white wine with red food colouring added).

I didn’t really get into the series premiere of Person of Interest last week, but might give tonight’s episode a chance mainly because I like James Caviezel. 9 p.m. ET on Citytv.

Two of the worst new shows this season are on CTV tonight: Charlie’s Angels at 7 p.m. ET and Whitney at 8:30 p.m. ET. Avoid them both. You’ve been warned.

And for reality show junkies, episode four of The X Factor is on CTV Two at 8 p.m. ET. It’s Simon Cowell. That’s all.
