This is a recap of the third episode of Pan Am, entitled Ich Bin Ein Berliner. Spoilers ahead if you have not seen it!

Laura is officially a spy for the CIA and her first official duty is to go to Berlin and buy a book. Exciting stuff. How is this getting satisfaction of helping your country during the Cold War when you don’t even know what exactly you are doing? Seems to be all risk and little reward. Maybe just me?

Laura and Ted have a thing? When did this happen? Although, Ted does seem to be a bit of a ladies man. But Laura was having none of it. Denied! For both a spontaneous kiss and an invite to breakfast. Will Ted pull out any more moves? We’ll have to monitor this.

Meanwhile, Maggie had President Kennedy wave at her before he boarded Air Force One. All for the the price of a box of Cuban cigars. If it was me, I’d want my money back. Didn’t she say she just wanted to shake JFK’s hand? Well she got ripped off, in my opinion. But guess she was satisfied.

Collette had some seriously bad flashbacks back to her childhood when German soldiers occupied France.  She made some Germans pretty uncomfortable at that presidential party. Guess she can’t forgive them yet for the death of her parents.

Meanwhile, Laura broke the secret spy code. She didn’t follow the rules. Apparently, by helping the compromised German spy she did something really, really bad. When do we get to find out exactly how bad? Maybe next week.

Pan Am airs on CTV Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET. Are you fan? Discuss in the comments below.
