This is a recap of the fourth episode of Pan Am, entitled Eastern Exposure. Spoilers ahead if you have not seen it!

This week we learn more about Ted and his story. And surprise! He’s not as big of an ass as originally believed. He was a Navy test pilot, whose plane failed, but was blamed for the accident and honourably discharged. His father, who is rich, secured him a position of First Officer in Pan Am. But Ted thinks his expertise means he should have made Captain ahead of Dean. Enter seething resentment and jealousy. This culminates into throwdown bro-style ending with Ted clocking Dean and giving him a helluva shiner. But not to worry. They’ve made up over drinks. Ted’s buying.

Meanwhile, Kate continues to be the worst spy ever. I’m sure she broke spy code by talking about spy stuff in the street to her handler. Does she not watch any spy movies? It’s suppose to be a secret honey. Not to be spoken of in public. I’m sure the street counts as a public area! Yeesh. She also continues to act strange and weird. How did the CIA pick her to be a courier? She’s so high strung. Also, I’m wondering if she gets paid for her work. She seemed quite free with her money to bribe that Burmanese manto sit around and wait for a response to her telegram.

Meanwhile, Laura is getting all BFF with Maggie. It doesn’t help with her sister acting all weird and anal retentive. Maggie’s way more fun and she can order beer in 15languages! How cool is that?

There was the anticipated sister throwdown. Now Kate and Laura aren’t talking. The CIA offered to remove Laura so the sisters wouldn’t work together on the same plane but Kate realized she didn’t want that. She bought Laura a make-up present but when she got home little sis had moved out. More cat fights to come?

Also, Laura might be rethinking Ted. If that look was any indication. Interesting……
