Keeping up with the trend of re-releasing their entire catalogue of animated titles in 3-D, Disney has just finished Finding Nemo 3-D for a September 14 release. And since people keep paying to see these old movies converted to the gimmicky tech (Beauty and the Beast 3-D was #2 at the box office this past weekend with an 18.5M take), it’s highly unlikely we’ll see an end to this anytime soon from the Mouse Co. (Monsters, Inc. 3-D is coming in January 2013 and I’m sure Steamboat Willie 3-D is right around the corner.).
