Young Magic will be playing at Wrongbar as part of NXNE
New York based, but featuring members from Australia and Indonesia, Young Magic have been gathering buzz since releasing their debut Melt earlier this year. I had a bit to say about that trippy debut a few months back, and I thought I’d let the band have their own say by submitting a mix of songs they’ve been listening to and have been influencing their sound recently.
What I got from the trio was a mix of old and new, familiar and unknown, a smorgasbord of songs from all over the world. That should come as no surprise given the band’s nature and the ecclectic sound of their first LP.
