At an event in Toronto last week at the Proof Bar, Alliance Films invited Andrew Parker, myself, and a few other select entertainment reporters out to demo their new online trivia game, Blu-ray Makes It Better. The game consists of watching a short video montage of Alliance titles while trying to name all 88 films shown. We were only given 10-minutes and had no use of our devices (meaning no access to the IMDb to cheat). Andrew and I both ended up in the Top 5 (him in 2nd with a 64 and I in 4th with a 58) alongside Ben Carrozza of MSN.ca (who won with a score of 69), Andrea Miller of Cineplex.com (who came in third with a 63), and Richard Crouse from Canada AM (who came in last with a 53).
Think you can do better than us? Head over to BlurayMakesItBetter.com and take the challenge. You could win a Blu-ray library of all 88 films shown in the montage as well as a 47-inch Toshiba 3-D TV and 3-D Blu-ray player. And if you beat our scores you also get to come back here and gloat you’re better than the ‘pros’. Good luck!
