While Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie didn’t make it into the Toronto International Film Festival as we had hoped, it is making a splash in Toronto this weekend as the Art of Frankenweenie tour makes its only Canadian stop at Fan Expo Canada. The exhibit includes three real sets from the film, actual character builds and other props, original sketches by Burton, and an exact replica of Burton’s desk (with a pair of his signature glasses on it). You can tell this film, which took two years to make, has been a true labour of love for Burton as the detail of these sets and characters is outstanding. While the photos below give you an idea of the exhibit, they do not do it justice and it is something that should be seen up close and personal to appreciate.
Fan Expo Canada runs until Sunday, August 26. For more info, visit fanexpocanada.com.

Frankenweenie hits theatres on October 5. Check out the awesome homage trailer for it below.
