Listen to this album preview: The xx’s ‘Chained’, from Coexist

London based pop group The xx had heaps of praise poured on them for their 2009 self-titled debut, and by the sounds of thing more is to come. Having already won England’s coveted Mercury Prize, the band doesn’t look like they’re going to stop innovating and putting out great music.

Check out new track ‘Chained’, which stays true to the sound honed on their debut, one of minimalistic beauty. The new track adds a few more electronic flourishes and a deeply buried bass line that shows that Jamie XX has likely been listening to a bit of Burial.

The band’s hotly anticipated follow up, Coexist is out on September 11 via XL Records.
