After a successful week-long, IMAX-only run, and with Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures arriving on Blu-ray next Tuesday, September 18, Paramount Pictures has decided to open Raiders of the Lost Ark wide across the U.S. and Canada. The restored version, which was supervised by director Steven Spielberg and sound designer Ben Burtt, will open in 300 digital theatres as of today, September 14 (check local listings for theatres playing it). While Paramount is not saying how long the film will be in theatres, we’re guessing it will be a limited engagement and if you want to see it on the big screen you better get to it as soon as possible.
