Following in the footsteps of Snow White and the Huntsman comes Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, another dark fairy tale adaptation loaded with action, violence, and special effects. This one is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) and stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arteron as the brother-sister duo. From the looks of the trailer it could either be a surprise kick-off to the 2013 movie year or a terrible mess (I’m fearing it will be a mess although I enjoyed Wirkola’s Dead Snow and am keeping my fingers crossed).
