Watch This! Trailer for short film ‘Calcutta Taxi’

A scene from Calcutta Taxi.

Vikram Dasgupta is an amazing motion graphic designer working in the Canadian television industry. He’s done everything from the opening graphics on HGTV’s Leave it to Bryan and Amber Mac’s web show, commandN, to promos for Citytv and MTV. I’m a fan of his style and when I heard he had directed a short I was immediately curious to learn more about it. The final product is a 20-minute film called Calcutta Taxi that, from the look of the trailer, is insanely slick. It recently screened at the Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island Film Festival where it won the Directorial Discovery Award and is set to screen at more festivals around the world later this year. Check out the trailer for it below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
